Well, for me, the movies out today aren't realistic. The one that got to me the worst was, "Play Misty For Me" with Clint Eastwood way, way back in the 70's. Nothing compared at the time to the real life setting of a wacko person ruining your life. Now, so much is just rehashed gore and nudie scream scenes that you can pretty much tell what's supposed to happen next. YAAAAWWWNNNnn

Ok I know this will sound dumb, but Carrie. I saw it when I was in the 5th grade and I had nightmares for many many years after that. I also watched Nightmare of Elm Street which scared the pants off of me when I was younger. As an adult I don't watch scary movies at all.

that would be any movie with adam sandler or any other former memeber of 'saturday night live' starring in it .. with the exception of Mike Myers and the original 'blues brothers'
actually it would have to be "the shining" and the made for TV movie "IT" with Tim Curry as "pennywise" that was SOO freakin' scary !! it really creeped me out !!!!

The first Alien film really freaked me out, but I loved it, also Aliens.The Excorcist is creepy and the Amityville Horror.

non really scared me but my favorites are some of the older ones like Burnt Offerings, and The Exorcist. the remake of The Amityville horor was pretty good. and i liked The Exorcism of Emily Rose. but non of them really scared me
