No but he certainly insulted my husband who has been to Iraq twice and is probably going back, who has 5 and a half years in the army, and by the way has a college degree in physcology. (did I spell that right? obviously I don't have the degree lol) He is half way through a degree in electronics. so I guess he is wrong, it angered me, I am trying not to be angry at a stupid remark. I feel for all the families who have lost a loved one over there. The children that hold their fathers and mothers up so high, as a hero. Why dwell on a dumb comment, I just know I won't vote for him

Only if you think its an insult to join the armed forces.
What does Jonh Kerry have to do with anything anyways...? Hes getting so much attention and no cared about him the day before yesterday... or was it the day before that... either way... John Kerry can sail off the edge of the Earth for all I care!

The fact is there are several Republican saying they know what Kerry was trying to say was a joke about Bush being dumb. Here is a link to the transcripts from the Chris Mathews show.

Read the Dick Armey quotes. No friend of the Democrats. Very revealing.
The best quote I read about the whole thing was in another article. "Is the White House too stupid to know he was making a joke about them being stupid"
Who really cares what John Kerry says anyway. Does that have anything to do with anyone you're voting for? The Republicans want to get everyone fired up over this to take away from the issues. It's pretty sleazy politics and both sides do it.

Kerry is a politician and like most politicians is a moron. That aside, he made a mistake and I do believe he did not realized the implications of his statement until after it was said. However, as Americans, we made sure he did. I'm sure he regrets it now, though I guess we're always wiser in hindsight...

98 or 99% of military personnel are high school graduates or better. 88% of American civilians are high school graduates or better. 97% or so, of military officers have a college degree already. 56% of American civilians have a college degree.
I rest my case.
