Single Moms, mothers and babies being born....anyone who has seen and returned from battle, Winston Churchill, Cancer survivors, Henry Ford, Bill Clinton...LOL
There are millions of success stories in this world, just ask anyone, I am sure they will tell you.
Success through adversity is your perception to keep going. Others see it as courage. Believe in yourself :)

Helen Keller. She was both blind and deaf, yet went on to become a teacher and lecturer.
Beetoven. Deaf at 46, he went on to write his greatest music.
Franklin D Roosevelt. Legs paralyzed by polio, he was elected President four times.
Charles Steinmetz. He was a hunchback from birth, but held over 200 patents for GE, was a lecturer, professor at Union College, and an engineer.
Hope those help.

Oh, quite a few. Off the top of my head: Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, Jesus. Depends what you define "success" as too, I guess. Adversity will always be there, but you shouldn't let it define who you are.

Me. I lost both of my parent within 2 years and then my son 4 years later and then my husband left a year later. I took my daughter and moved away and started a new life. You can do anything if you set your mind to it.

There are countless people like that... one of my favorite examples is J.K. Rowling - she was extremely poor and struggling with being a mother, and now is one of the richest people in the world by writing children's books!
