You might want to check him/her out with a doctor. Trust me, infants throwing up is usually not a good sign.

Unfortunately you can't really give him anything like a medication for it unless prescribed by your doctor. The main thing is to figure out why he's getting sick. If you've started him on foods, it may be a food allergy. If he's still on formula, you could try putting some rice cereal in it to thicken it up so it will sit in his stomach better. Other than that, contact your doctor if the problem persists because excessive vomiting can lead to dehydration.

My grand baby was having this same problem, are you burping after every 2 to 3 ounces of milk drank by the baby? Or is the baby getting to much air from the nipple? Or the baby may be allergic to the supplement. I would sincerely ask your physician there could be several reasons. My grandson was having problems with the formula, my daughter had to try 4 different types until she found the right one. Please check with your doctor first!!!! to be SAFE.

1. Is your infant throwing up small amounts of formula after a feeding? This is probably "SPITTING UP," a common occurrence for infants on formula. Less common is a LACTOSE INTOLERANCE or MILK ALLERGY. The baby may be gulping air or may have taken too much formula, or the formula may be upsetting the child's stomach. Discuss this with your doctor at the next visit, sooner if it increases
please look at this infor it will help you decide....

It is not wise to administer any over the counter medication to such a youngster without at least talking to his pediatrician. Beware of dehydration if the volume and frequency are large. I would call the doctors office for some advice if it were my baby. I hope he gets over it soon.

Give your baby pedialite, but in very small amounts...one ounce every 15 minutes until he can keep it down for a few hours. If your baby can't be sure to take him to the doc ASAP because infants dehydrate quickly, and can be fatal.

You need to find out what is causing him to throw up. Was it just once, or is he constantly throwing up. Are you feeding him formula or breast milk, he may be allergic to the formula if that's what your feeding him. Call your doctor, or take him to the emergency. It's not a good sign when your baby is throwing up.

The baby may have a virus and I'm not sure if their is anything to stop the vomiting, but you do have to worry about the baby dehydrating, so I suggest making sure the baby stays hydrated by giving her pedialyte water or maybe even the popsicles if he/she doesn't want to drink.
