saying Rumsfeld and Cheney were doing fantastic jobs and that he would keep them until the end of his term. Is he trying to lose the election for the Republicans?

Kerry tried to make a joke and it makes him look bad. Bush's jokes get people killed. Republicans are bleeding votes and they're trying to grasp on to anything they can, even a gaff made by a senator. And they think this is going to magically erase all the republican corruption and blunders from the past six years from voter's minds.
Gee they must really think Americans are stupid!

If you were at all informed, you would realize that Secretary Rumsfeld and Vice President Cheney are two of the most effective people who have ever served in government. Don't you even know about the extraordinary accomplishments of the Secretary just to have brought the Armed Forces into this twenty-first century? Only someone who so hates President Bush could ask what you are asking.

As for Kerry, to all the folks who've been in or around the military, we know him well - from way back in the 1970's. To put it kindly, he is no patriot!

Hey as they like to say, that have to get their base out and everyone knows these people will say anything ; LIKE ; They will not cut taxes and the Democrats will, well hell i would rather pay $ 20 more a month on taxes than $ 100 more on gas, $ 10,000 more a year on education, $ 50 more a month on Heath care, Somewhere out there they think we are all fools, just the Republicans believe that baby, not all of US.

Well, he is a true friend, and he is keeping what he feels is working. And by the way, he is keeping what his generals think is working also. Or at least 99% of them. And even more to the point, he is keeping the ones that the troops think are getting the job done.

Did you see how fast Hillary Clinton bitc* slapped Kerry? Now there is loyalty. But at least she is being honest. She knows and understands exactly what he meant.

I'm beginning to think that it might backfire on them.. I think people are really fed up with the administrations one harp issues and never talking about solutions to problems that really matter... another week of this media nonsense and I think they'll be hurting in the poles.

As a paralyzed Vietnam Vet I will never forget John Kerry's traitorous remarks made years ago calling myself and my Brothers-in Arms all manner of names from "Baby-Killers" to "cowards" upon our return and now, our brave brothers and sisters are "stupid"?

I want to state that, 'Mr. John Kerry is not only a man of questionable honor but he should apologize for making statements that not only insult every brave young man and woman Serving but give yet again, "Aid and Comfort to the enemy" which emboldens the enemy and gets more troops killed!

We will now do everything humanly possible to mobilize the Conservative Base not necessarily to Vote to support current policy and Incumbents but to vote "against the Democrats" and the Nancy Pelosi San Francisco Values that party holds to!

This was the best thing he could have done to energize our base!

Now, how will the Far Left Wong ACLU Adoring Liberal Dems explain away this one...watch for the standard "disclaimers" mostly used for Dr Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi "Foot-In-Mouth attacks...i.e.:

"He was mis-quoted" or maybe, "His statement was taken out of context" or maybe he meant it?
