I dreamed I was in the back seat of a car and there was a riot going on outside. Someone shot into the car with an automatic weapon. I was hit twice, once in the head. I didn't feel pain, just the pressure and then it was dark. I assume I died. Then I woke up and it freaked me out, it seemed so real. I had the same dream or variations thereof three times in a few months and then it stopped.

My first scariest dream was of my first husband and my parents. It seems my husband was ill and he and my parents were sitting in a funeral home. He was sitting in the middle with each of my parents sitting on either side of him. I was kinda floating above them and trying to tell my parents that he was sick and needed a doctor but no one could hear or see me. I would drift in and out trying to get help for him, feeling more desperate with every return. My husband would look sicker every time I returned and on my last return he was in the casket! I woke up crying. I can still feel the feeling of helplessness that I felt in not being able to get someone to hear or see me and not being able to help him.
The second scariest dream I had was being in the yard with my aunts doing the laundry. We had washed big bed sheets and had hung them on the line. The sheets were blowing in the breeze when all of a sudden a spaceship landed and one of my aunts and I ran into a little storage building and closed the door, trying to hide from the aliens. I can still feel the fear and feel my aunt standing behind me hiding her face in my back. I woke up before the door to the building opened.

Yes.
I usually have very entertaining and bizarre dreams. Two that are memorable because they scared the crap out of me:
I was highly stressed about a home situation. In my dream, there was a wormhole (Star Trek, Deep Space 9) next to my bed. Things in my apartment were not quite right. Some kids stole my car.
Another dream, my best friend and I were taking her brother to school. Everyone had on flip flops (I live in Los Angeles). For some reason, I had to use a rope to swing over a moat.

My scariest dream was way too complicated...i don't even know how my mind could just imagine so much pictures, sounds, emotions, and ideas so randomly... the setting was around some Empire in the Middle East... And we were some aristocrats and we were all gonna die cuz the enemies were literally at the palace gate. And then there was this door which was built in the castle to lead us to safety in times of crisis, though the King was hesitant to let us go in... (I'm getting all weird here) and then he looked up at the sky and murmured something about "maybe we will go to safety" then it occured to me that you actually die in there... So between death and death... what do you choose?
THEN luckily i woke up
Now ignore my ranting and my waste of cyberspace... =D

I had a late afternoon nap and dreamed that all my friends and i were in a field, there were scarecrows everywhere. of couse being a dream no one looked like who they actually were, but i knew who they were. The dream continued on and people kept disappearing, and i was getting more and more upset, especially since the scarecrows kept moving around. I don't remember much more, but i woke up heart pounding and near in tears. You know that confused feeling? I could hear noise outside my verandah, and it was dark out by now, everyone was outside barbequing, it truely freaked me out.

Once, I was sleeping in my room and our dog was barking and scratching the door trying to get in. Somehow, that must have seeped into my dream because I dreamed that I was in a cave gallery and I could hear through the tunnels the sound of Satan coming for me.
I woke up terrified.

I dreamed I was at my grandmother's funeral (excepting she's not dead). Anyway, after I put a rose on her coffin and tell her goodbye, I turn around, tears streaming down my face and there stands the man who is trying to kill me (in the dream, not real life)! He has a knife in his hand and before I can scream this evil smile spreads across his face and he plunges the knife deep into my chest! Now that is creepy, especially when you dream in living color like I do!

I was brought up during the years when washing machines and dryers were first being made. (Yes, I know..I'm older then dirt) I watched with awe when the clothes were tumbling in a washer (they had windows in the doors back then). That night I dreamed I was in one of those machines tumbling around and woke up sweating and dizzy. Scared the "H" right out of me.

The scariest dream I ever had is the one where I dreamt my own death...nothing tops dying in your own dream for me!

When I was very little, I dreamed of two school buses crashing into each other in slow motion. They more melded together than crash and there was an awful sound.
