The price is actually just below the fair KBB value, which is around $16,600. This is assuming the car is in good condition and has all the standard factory options but no extra options.
$15k is not bad, but don't take the first offer that comes your way. Play hardball and counter-offer with a lower price. The less you pay the more money in your pocket.

Check out the car using Carfax to see if there were any problems (collision, totalled, warranty problems, etc.)
And check the maintenance records. If the car is a certified BMW used car, $15K could be a very good deal, esp. if there is a warranty provided with the car.
Most important for the car is regular oil changes. That year and engine use synthetic oil, approx. every 12-15 miles intervals for oil & filter changes. You also should check that Inspection 1 and 2 services were done at the regular mileage points (30K, 60K, 90K miles.)
Also check for coolant/antifreeze replacement, transmission fluid change, brakes/rotors/fluid changed. Check the tires for remaining mileage (when were they replaced?)
Those items listed above, if done, will prolong the life of your car. If regularly serviced, you should expect to get 200K-250K miles from the car.
Have your mechanic check it out, and use his/her findings and recommendations for additional service items as negotiation points to get a better price.
Good luck.
