The stove requires you to turn the knob all the way to the left to light it up. When you do you hear a ticking sound. But even when you are not doing this, I still get the ticking, so I have to pull the plug to stop it. How do I stop the ticking without pulling the plug.

If it just started, it could be moisture has gotten into one of the the valve switches, perhaps in cleaning, or boiling over a pot. It will eventually dry. If it's been happening since you installed it, it could be the electric receptacle is not properly polarized.

You have a problem with the ignition switch, this is normal wear and tear, it happens, I would contact a tech and replace the switch or you can do it yourself it's not really hard to do it, but definitely you need to change it..☺

If you have a clock on the stove, it might be ticking.

sounds like one of your burner ignitions may be on the fritz. I'd get a repairman in.
