...preferably something recent. I need some good songs about love to bring in to school for extra credit. It can be happy or sad, I'd prefer it to be within the genres of hip-hop, rap, or R&B, and I won't mind a little pop either. I want something deep, right now I have "You Never Know" by Immortal Technique which I know is gonna blow everyone else's songs off the campus. But I want another good one for more extra credit.

Teddy Geiger has some pretty deep love songs....but he's not exactly hip-hop. He's more pop rock but I really like his songs. Oh, and he's pretty recent, too.....
I haven't really heard any recent hip-hop love songs that are really deep but there are a lot of good old ones by 112, Jagged Edge, Joe, Boys II Men, and K-Ci & JoJo....I can't remember the rest but you can e-mail me if you still want more...=)

There is a new artist by the name of Corinne Bailey Rae the song is called "Like a Star" it is gorgeous go to corinne Bailey Rae.com and they will play a sample on her website it is gorgeous. It's been a long time since lyrics that beautiful has be written.

Beyonce's has a song called "Resentment" on her new album that's real good. Depending on what you're looking for "Ring da Alarm" might be a good one too. It's kinda crazy though.
