I'm against it.

You asked why so I'll tell you... It's because from the moment of conception it is a human life with a spirit. The bible says God knew you before you were born.

There's a site with very graphic pictures of aborted babies and if you're under 18 please ask your parents before looking at the site because it is very emotional to see. But, for anyone who is unsure of what babies look like when they are very very small in the womb... for the ones that say it is just "tissue" I urge you to look at these photos. I repeat however, they are graphic and very sad. Anyone under 18 should only look after consulting their parent or guardian. http://www.abortiontruth.com/pictures.html

I also wanted to add a link to a site that has stories from people that survived abortion. http://www.circleofprayer.com/abortion-survival-testimonies.html

I think it's funny that I would get a thumbs down after giving my opinion on this topic.... For people to say they're pro choice but then give negative feedback to someone who has made a choice or opinion on the matter is kinda hypocritical don't you think? I didn't judge anyone, I simply gave my reason for why I feel the way I do and even sited this information so other's could understand where I'm coming from. So, for all you pro choicers out there that judge those of us who CHOOSE life... take a look inward cause you're being judgemental.

I am against it 100%. But, I am not the one who has to deal with the consequences, so I guess it is all about your own personal choice.

I didn't answer the 'why' question. Well, I am Christian (I'm sure that will draw some fire), and I believe that life is a gift from God, and it starts at the moment of conception. A baby's heartbeat begins between the 18th and 25th day of age. At 8 weeks, a baby already has hands and feet, complete with fingers and toes. It is not a 'lump of tissue'. It is a living human being, clearly formed and distinguishable. Also, I am unable to have my own children, and I cannot comprehend how anyone can destroy their own child when there are so many people in the world like me who desperately want a child to love and nurture.

Ms Pokeylope? You are so right that people who are against abortion are always judged negatively for choosing life. It's amazing how hypocritical some people in the 'prochoice' category can be. I find it highly disrespectful that my opinion (and yours, and everyone else who is prolife) is judged so negatively, but we cannot do the same towards the prochoicers. My cousin and I are unable to discuss this issue. It's the only thing we fight over. She's 'prochoice', while I am 'prolife'.

I will say, though, that if the mother's life would be endangered if she were to continue the pregnancy, she should have the right to choose. If it was for birth control purposes, rape, or even incest, I am completely against it.

Also, I find it funny how everyone talks about a woman's right to choose. What about the baby's right to choose?

its hard to say, but it really depends on the parent. I myself believe that there should be abortions, many people make mistakes... and accidents DO happen. If a person is so unfortunate and they arent able to support their child why dont they have an abortion... but they again many would say well you enjoyed it why dont you accept the consequence? in my opinon i believe a person should keep it until its time to give birth, if you feel like the 9months you've had w/ that child is not worth keepin why dont you just put it up for adoption for the less fortunate couples out there? (then again i contradict my other answer for another question) but sometimes adoption is nice when its to a point where you really cant help the child.

everyone deserves a right to live, but if you believe after you give birth to the child and their would be nothing but pain for him/her abortion would be the best idea.

I'm against abortion. I am pro-life. I had an abortion in college. It was my first child and the abortion precedure damaged my womb. I lost my next child and the next two were severely premature.
I am not for choice. I wish someone would have stood up and stopped me from making such a bad choice over 20 years ago. Maybe I would not have suffered such great pain and loss, but that was the choice I made and I paid for it.

I am totally against it. There are SO many couples in the US that want a baby so bad they can taste it, And are spending oodles upon oddles of money TRYING to conceive yet never do, For a woman to go and kill a child.

If you get pregnant, And for whatever reason, Decide you don't want it, At least have the baby and give it up for adoption.

IMO- Abortion is murder. And they put people in jail for murder, Why is killing an unborn child any different. And why aren't these women jailed?

This is really a touchy subject many people can speak so fast and say I'm against abortion if they have never had to make choice to keep a baby or have a abortion.I know that i could never have a abortion but that doesn't mean I'm against it everyone has their reasons. But what i do know is, they never tell you how your going to feel after you had an abortion and Trust me i know someone who had one . And they have never been the same since. She crys all the time she hates her self for it and no 9 months later she wants a baby . so make sure that you can live with yourself if your going to have a abortion.

I am for abortion for the following reasons:

1. If something was wrong with the baby and would lead a horrible life
2.If someone was raped
3.If the mom's life was in danger and would die if they contiuned on with the pregnancy
4.If someone is just too young to have a baby

I do not however believe that people should use it as a form of birth control. I will not understand someone that has abortions so many times when it is cheaper and easier just to use condoms and birth control

Im against it. Its wrong and the baby is a life growing. The heart begins to beat at 5 weeks and that is the time that most women find out they are pregnant. Its just a terrible thing so many use as birth control. Makes me sick.

Even if it possibly meant my own death to give birth to a child I was bearing, I would choose to put it all in God's hands. If God chooses to take me when I bring a child of his into this world, so be it. I would not be selfish enough to preserve my life by ordering or accepting the murder of my baby. Let me add that this is the choice that I would make personally. I could not live with the guilt of killing any innocent baby.

And call it what it is....A BABY....Not a choice!

Peace be with you.

It is a matter of personal choice that only affects the Mother and the underdeveloped fetus, I support the right to choose. When Anti Abortion peoples pay to raise and give a mothers love to an unwanted, unneeded and uncared for pregnancy, that will be a day to remember. Until that Utopian day, I am all for the right of a woman's Freedom to decide what if anything she wants or does not want inside her body.
I support the freedom of individual choice.
