From San Francisco to Los angeles that would be 5-6 hours. It's based on the traffic or how you drive or even how many stops you make.

383.8 miles according to mapquest. The trip takes approximately six hours following the speed limit driving straight through. Travelers tip; take the I-5 up because it has a faster speed limit (70) than the 99 (55-65)

It's like 400 miles, and it takes about 6-8 hours to drive there depending if you take breaks and stuff.
