i love the cards! they are the best team in baseball that's why they won the world series. true, the mets have a better lineup, but that doesn't always make a good TEAM. I think Pujols should have won MVP just because having him in the lineup makes everyone else much better around him. Also, if anyone ever pitched to him more he'd have a ton of HRs and RBIs.

The Cardinals are OK. You , however, are not part of the team. Yes, the pitching was better than Detroit. I had the Cards, but in 6, not 5. The team is not awesome. The Cards are above average and they beat a team with no playoff experience. Congratulations.

The way I see it, the Cards did not have their best regular season, but they never gave up and fought through injuries and took advantage of every oppurtunity they were given in the playoffs. I do not think this was our best team over the past three years, but they found a way to get it done. The majority of the country did not give them a chance, but those who actually followed the cards were not surprised that they did well. Congrats Cards!

I am not a Cardinal fan, but I like how they managed to come back at the end of the regular season to make the playoffs and into the WS. They played as a team and not as individuals. Give credit to LaRussa for keeping them focused.

I think the team has so much potential with Pujol, Eckstein, and Rolen. I was surprised that they only managed 83 wins at the regular season. With Pujol you should have 2 run homer written all over. But I think they are a great team(I'm a Tigers fan....). They definitely deserve the world series.

I'm from St. Louis and i gust live for the cards i went to a playoff game this year it was a sea of red the greatest sight ever there the best edmonds my personal fav player the cars rule and always will

Have fun in Cardinals parade but don't get robbed on your way back home....St Louis is the worst city in the U.S.......Who would have thought....?? I think of cities like NY,LA,MIAMI,DETROIT BUT ST.LOUIS????.... Any ways congrat 2006 world champs..PS I love Ozzie Smith.......

im 16 and ive been acard fan for 16 years eck deserved the MVP but not as much as rolen and we did deserve the WS as much as the B.O. sox did in 2004

I was there will they won it all last Friday. Eck did a great job but I think Scott Rolen should have won MVP!!!!
