alas, the flaw of the iPod, i hpoe you bought that extended Warranty! anyways, just take the battery out if you can and put it back in. if that fails then take it to a repair shop or if yuo have warranty, then return it and either get it fixed or replaced. other than that, yuore better off buying a Sansa E250 or Zen Micro or the new Zume coming out this christmas. iPods are a curse!

..happens to me every single time on my old Ipod um... one way is to wait till your battery runs out and recharging it other way is to reset it by sliding the hold switch to hold and then back again. Then press both the Menu and Center buttons for about 6 seconds. Also my ipod is a video.. might only work on the new ones

try pluggin it in to charger. mine used to freeze and that would unstick it sometimes. otherwise it will just run low on battery and shut off automatically. then u can plug it in and charge it back up and all is well. tho if a sad face comes on the screen u need to call apple, but if ur still in contract/warranty then they will replace with nice brand new one :)

Try restoring the software on the ipod charge it and if that doesn't work check to see if it is under warranty and get a new one
