Battery went dead in 95 Accord. Left the lights on for an hour and it crapped. Went to turn it over and the alarm went off. Lost the keypads years ago and haven't used the alarm since. Alarm eventually stopped. Replaced battery with new one and lights work but car won't turn over. Connected alarm to terminal and it chirpped, but still nothing. Removed fuse from alarm connector and still nothing. Don't know what to do next. I know it must be simple and has to do with this old alarm.

Anyone help? Much appreciated.

Your alarm has a kill-switch and it has reset, thereby disabling the starter. Under the dash, on the driver's side, look for a tiny red button. Press this button and turn the key in the ignition. You may have to to this more than once, and in a certain sequence. Trial and error. When you get a "chirp-chirp" from the alarm siren, the alarm has been set in "start" mode. When(and if) you are able to start the vehicle, either completely disable the alarm(as in rip it out), or buy a progammable remote.

i own a repair shop, and i think it does have to do with the alarm system on it,i have got them to turn over before by holding my foot on the brake pedal while trying to start it,and if that wont work you might have to completely remove all of the old alarm system from it,i have done a few of them lately ,especially the older model ones with out dated alarm systems on them,,you can talk to a local shop, about removing it,im sure they have done it before, but that's about the only way to make sure this don't happen again on it,good luck,i hope this help,s.

well if it does not turn over and you put in a new battery it is not your alarm it is the starter solinoide that is what makes the motor turn over. Good luck.
