I am entering a screen play contest and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to write one

Yes I have, among other works. I've been a writer for more than 50 years.
With no offense meant at all I HAVE to ask,,, Have you EVER written a screen play? If not, why on Earth did you enter a contest? If so, why are you asking? What kind of advice or help do you expect?

Yes I have just finished my 25th and am about to embark on shopping them to agents. THE FUN PARK :( If the passion is there its worth it.

Yeah i have... it is pretty fun and if you have good writting skills and some experience as an actor or director you should have no problem with it
