I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, and I think Kerry deflected attention away from the real issues.

I am a Democrat and I absolutely agree. That was just plain stupid for him to say and he should know better than to talk off the top of his head like that--he's been in politics long enough.
But here's a real difference that I've noticed over the past several years. When a democrat makes a public mistake, other dems scold that person and are willing to say it. When a republican makes a public mistake, other republicans defend that person and come up with excuses. I thought that Clinton's romp in the White House was disgraceful and he should have gotten in trouble. However, where are all the republicans yelling about Bush's outrageous behavior now?

It was an unfortunate slip of the tongue, but there is some truth in it. The army has lowered it's standards and is now accepting more high school drop outs because of declining enlistments.

Transplant means replacing 1 brain with another.
Implant means putting 1 in where there wasn't 1 before.

lol.....Well I dunno bout that, but I do think Kerry should be careful to say things like what he said. He wouldn't ever get my vote! I like Joe Lieberman alot. From the Democratic side he would get my vote. But I doubt he will run for president.
