Tri-cyclen lo ALL Birth Control Questions?

So, I just started tri-cyclen lo, and I was wondering what you do when you come to the green "fake" pills. So I started the pack on a Thursday, my 3rd day into my period..
And that was almost a month ago.. Not tomrorow, but the next thursday will be the beigning of the GREEN pills...
You know how there are 7?.. Well my period usually lasts 4 days.
So.. would I only take 4 pills and start a new pack when my period starts.. Or.. Finish all 7 of them?

ALSO DONT FORGET THIS..
When my friend started her birth control (a different kinda)... she got her period for 3 straight weeks? Is that normal? Because.. im going to be on vacation for 2 weeks, and I DO NOT Want it the entire time...
AND FOR YOU (if your are on Birth control)..
Did your period even out THE VERY FIRST MONTH?
Or did it take a few months to even out and become a regular cycle?

Take all the green pills. The green pills don't make you have a period. They are just there to remind you to take your pills. You don't have to take any of them if you don't want. I never did and my pills now don't even have fake pills!

It's possible that you could experience break through bleeding and bleed during your first pack but, it's also possible that you won't. It takes about 3 months for your body to adjust to the pills. Your period might become shorter and ligther and might not even come at all this month don't worry but, if you are sexually active you should take a test. You are protected from pregnancy after 7 days and if you continue to take them at the exact same time everyday you shouldn't get pregnant as the pill is 99% effective. If you miss your period for 2 months in a row see your doctor.

Any time I have been on the pill I would just start a new pack after my period ended (be it 3,4, or 7 days). For me my period became regular after the first cycle (so the second period on the pill) As far as having it for 2 weeks, that should not happen.
