When I was still dating, it was more important that my boyfriend loved me. Which is why I married the man that I did.

Some woman are very shallow and money is more important than love. Beware of women who think money is the more important than love.

Peace

Women like what makes them feel secure. For some it's love, others it's money, and for still others there's whole list of possible things. Much can stem from inadiquacies experienced in youth and send a young woman off seeking what she's been missing...often to the exclusion of other things that are just as important. A big strong man might beat a woman, but if he makes her feel secure (and she has low self-esteem from childhood) then she'll likely stick around. It can be a real mess for those who didn't have a good family life and weren't able to make some adjustments growing up.

In my opinion, it does play a role in attraction, but a man doesn't have to have a ton of money to be attractive. Money usually, not always, makes people stuck up, which is a turn off in my opinion. I plan to be successful, so I don't need to rely solely on my man, so money wont be a big importance in my opinion. I don't see how marriage is a transaction. A transaction is the passing of money between one person to another, mostly though business. Marriage isn't business, so I don't see it as a transaction. Marriage is about love, and all those things. This boyfriend is wrong, and obviously only cares about money.

Most women I know would agree that while money is nice, it definitely is not everything. Being a woman, I know that I would be willing to make the financial sacrifice and live an average life happily with a husband whom I love and who truly loves me back than to be unhappy or unattached with someone who is rich. Of course, every woman would probably also tell you that a guy having money is not going to turn her off to him, like a smoking or drinking habit, but it's not key.
First and foremost, you need to be in love with a decent man-if he has money, it's a cherry on the sundae, and if not, then you are rich in love, and that's what's important.

Being a woman personally I've always had money so this isn't a factor with me. When women make money an importance over their significant other loving them then it was never about him in the first place. Money is a necessity but love is priceless.

Nothing is free unless your a fool to give it up for free ... in other words everyone wants something for nothing but when it comes down to it money rules the world especially in this day & age..... but for me I was in a relationship where he thought I wanted him for money so he treated me like crap.. after a while I left him now I could have stayed and used him but instead I left him because I would rather be treated with respect regardless of money status in any relationship....

I make considerably more money than my boyfriend and it isn't an issue for me at all. I am with the person I am with because I love him, not because he does or doesn't make a certain amount of money.

It is more important that I have my own money, than having a boyfriend at all. (If he didn't love me I just wouldn't have him).
A boyfriend won't be there at the end when I am an old pensioner lady.

It is important to me that a man has steady employment and goals and is paying his own way in life. However, I make my own money, so the amount or type of work as long as it is legal employment we are ok. God bless

Beware of what woman self report. Resources and status figure into every mate choice for woman, right after wanting kind and intelligent partners. Have you ever heard a woman not want to go out with a man with a job? Rare indeed. Check the ethnographic data and trust not to self reports.
