The libs hope we lose the war on terror, because that will weaken the USA and usher in what they really want worldwide socialism led by the UN. In the liberal mind, the USA is evil, and has to be weakened so that the UN and Hillary Clinton can rule the world in socialist utopia, led by John F. Kerry diplomacy and cowardice. What they fail to realize is, the enemy jihadist won't stop at a peace accord.

First of all the radical extremist terrorist Muslims would never come close to killing all Americans or covert us to Islam. (They could never put an Army on US soil). But they can certainly kill a lot of us on their home territory. FYI: There is about a 1 in 10,000 chance that you could get killed because of terrorism in the US.
Dems dislike Bush because he is using a Sledgehammer to solve a problem (war on terror) rather than the surgical knife that you desparately need to catch & kill terrorists. There are an estimated 10,000 terrorists in the entire world and you don't need the entire US military to destroy them because it is too hard for US military to find them. Ask any US Iraq veteran or currently serving troop how many terrorists he's killed? He wouldn't know the difference between a insurgent, a terrorist, or a Iraqi civilian because they ALL look the same.
It's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Did you know that US Special forces,US intelligence & Foreign intelligence has killed or captured every Al Qaeda terrorist since 9/11? They are experts at finding needles. Bush's "sledgehammer" strategy in Iraq is doing the exact opposite, it is creating more terrorists than the US Military can kill and that's much worse than leaving Iraq because Iraq has become exactly what Bush said he didn't want it to become, a terrorist on the job training ground.
Good intelligence, Homeland Security & US Special forces are the absolute best at finding, killing or capturing terrorists and protecting the US but by sending the US military into the Middle East Bush has stirred up a hornets nest that will create thousands of more terrorists and 15 new Bin Ladens for now and for many generations to come.

I agree some what with fritz B. On my own I do not hate Bush But he has an attitude that turns him off to our allies and all the countries around he went into this war sticking his finger up at the NATO forces and the United Nation then asked for help he knew this was a false reason to go into Iraq he was going to try and control the Oil but when there was a flare up from the world he forgot that idea and tried to set up a democratic government which apparently is not working it would be best to step back and try to get talks going between the different fractions there and stay out of it don't try to put pressure on any of them. Bush has no understanding of the Muslims Shites or any other fractions in that region. He is disliked and he keeps holding with Rumsfeld policy he should have him resign and get someone who understands that region and can try to get the different fractions together

How could you seriously think any American, Dem or Repub, supports the terrorists? Did you worry on 9/11 whether the person next to you, feeling the same grief, anger and horror was a Democrat or Republican? No, you didn't. None of us did. I'm not even a Democrat but I am so sick of this garbage. Just because someone has different views about how to handle terrorism doesn't make them sympathetic to Islamic extremists.

After all the criticism of our president you would think HE started the terrorism movement. So what if he doesn't make all the right moves? Who among us could?
Raise your hand if you had this insurgency thing pegged from the beginning! I didn't think so!
This is not a simple battle fought on one large battlefield like in the movies, this is an integrated riddle where you may not find out who your enemy is until you're shot or bombed.
Terrorists won't ask for your voter registration card before they kill you. Let's wise up and fight these guys instead of each other.
Okay, send me all your thumbs down. I was just trying to help refocus the debate to where it belongs - against the terrorists.

its all about groupthink and Bush is the president. and happens to be a president that doesnt appear very smart. there are countless quotes that just make a person say wow, this man has no sense. he is an easy target and its the popular thing to do. So let me ask you, how do you equate hating bush/bush policies to somehow liking terrorists? that is what you call a straw man argument. you say libs hate bush so they must like terrorists. its really shallow thinking. think outside of Rush's talking points and the world will open up to you.

Right wing extremist's are the enemy and getting them, including bush will solve the problem... Read some of the other posts about how the administration obstructed investigations into 9-11 etc.. They must have been involved and they're gaining from of it politically.. Do you believe everything the government tells you?.

I'm not a liberal dem by any means, but I have a problem with the war in Iraq. The problem is this: Their were no terrorists in Iraq until we invaded. Since we have invaded, we have p!ssed off so many people there that we have 10 fold the number of terrorist that we had before.

Thats a very good question. As I have said before, if we could just stop all the mudslinging and start working on our plans for the future just think of what we could accomplish! But Its unfair to say all Dems/Liberals are out to get Bush! Some are really concerned about us and our troops. I know its very difficult to find, but there are people who care on both sides.

you didn't mention the fact that Republicans are more likely to slam liberals than terrorists... how many terrorist questions have Republicans asked on this site vs. Kerry questions? about 1 to 20 ratio...
and why do none of you care that we have so few troops in Afghanistan compared to Iraq (even though Afghanistan has 10 times the terror links of Iraq)?
when you start going after Osama... then I'll be impressed.. .I'm still waiting...

We are not concentrated on hating Bush. Bush has spewed enough hate into this world to last many lifetimes. Why are you spouting some tripe that you've been fed ostensibly by your party's propaganda machine? And I thought brainwashing went out with the fall of the USSR. Guess not.
Here's a newsflash for you: THEY ALL LIE. Republicans tell simple lies, the democrats tell complicated lies. Apparently, the simple lies seem to be working better.
