the pros are they can make you wealthy. the con is that it can take your money and make you broke.
In the end they usually take your money and you walk out with nothing.
You have to realize that they are in a business to make money. They don't mind giving some of it away but they don't want to do that too often.

A perfect example of the "pros" of casinos can be illustrated by the city of Metropolis, Illinois. Harrah's is the casino there and has helped the city financially. Not only has the casino provided jobs for many people, but also has contributed to the entire area.

They provide jobs for many people. Sometimes they force people to get jobs after gambling their life savings away. Raise state revenue, which then is invested into education and health care. Helps Native Americans.
Ruins families, when the father or mother is a compulsive gambler. It usually encompasses other shady activities, such as drug use and sex.
Makes the rich richer, and the poor have more children.

Pros - Walk into a fantasy world where you can be waited on, free booze, good food, great shows, enjoy gambling...if you win. Lots and lots of benefits for local governments if the taxes are allocated right.
Cons - Gambling addiction...you win a little and keep loosing to try and win one more time. Free booze is great for us alcoholics, and you ignore how much money you're loosing.

I guess one of the pros would be it's entertaining and there are many cons; they pushed the poor people out and caused more poverty.

cons: they stick of cigarettes, the food is not too good there (but cheap, as they subsidize it) and there are too many gorgeous chicks there
