Don't take it personal, we are kinda weird that way. I do the same thing and I don't have any ulterior motives behind it, other than to change the channel. And leave it at the other end of the couch, and I don't realize I did that until my wife tells me " why do you always leave the remote on the other side?" And to be honest...I don't know, I just do it.

So, bottom line....just get up and take the remote, nothing against ya or worth loosing sleep over it.

As a general rule of thumb ,although there are always exceptions, men by genetics are hunters and women nesters. Men like to continually hunt for the next good channel and women like to nest or stay put on a good one. This difference can cause irritations betweent the sexes when watching television.

One way to get his attention is to get another televsion, they are really cheap now. When he takes total control of the remote without watching what you would like at times, watch the other television in the bedroom or kitchen, or study and he will ask you about it eventually and then you two can discuss sharing what is watched on television if you are too watch it together.
