i dont know why and would like to know iam a gothic person and it bugs me that people dont know the difference to me its a whole other life.

Emo is emotional and depressed
And gothic, well, even im not sure exactly what it is, but most people recognize it as a dark and satanic type of thing.
More often than not, people tend to link the dark and depressed elements in the two types, so they mix em up

"Emo" is just a label, just like "goth" is. Esentially they ARE the same thing- at least they would've been in my heyday ( ok, I'll date myself- the early 80's). Actually, you sound more emo than goth, because a real goth wouldn't care about labels or the subtle differences that make them out as differing forms.

Goth was along alot longer than that Emo bullcrap. The "emo Kids" just need someone to copy, someone to be like. because they lack the intelligence to form thier own personallities

i guess its because gothic people dress dark and emo people are always depressed.. so they think its the same
