Troy Smith or Steve Slaton. Quinn and Ainge are out of the picture until Smith (or Henne) stumbles, and Slaton will win it over Ian Johnson because he plays against tougher competition. From there it's Smith's versatility and leadership vs. Slaton's gaudy numbers on an undefeated team.

Troy Smith, the man has only thrown two interceptions so far this season and he is leading arguably the best team in college football. we will find out who the best team is on November 18th when Ohio state plays Michigan, but as for players, Troy Smith is the best in college football, and that means a lot coming from me because i am a Michigan fan. but give credit where it is due, the guy can run, pass, he could probably even block if they would let him. he is the one that will win the Heisman this year.

Troy Smith if they beat Michigan, Brady Quinn if they beat USC and Michigan beats Ohio State, Steve Slaton if WVU goes Undefeated and Michigan beats OSU and USC beats ND.
Finalists: Troy Smith, Brady Quinn, Steve Slaton.
Should be finalists: Troy Smith, Chad Henne/Michael Hart, Garrett Wolfe (Northern Illinois).
If Quinn wasn't at ND he wouldn't even be talked about after the UM/ND game!

Even I, a diehard ND fan, can say that Troy will win, unless he blows the Mich game, which i can see happening. It's their only really tough team this year. If that is the case it goes to Brady easy. Look how many records he's broken in his career. Now, as for people saying Ted Ginn, um..no guys, Anthony Gonzauls (sp?) has muchhh better hands than Ginn.
