I think it's a toss up... it's only been about five years since I left high school but there was a Gay-Straight Alliance. But if you wanted to buy two tickets for prom (if you bought two they were cheaper) you could only get the discount if it was male/female which is when I decided screw prom lol.

When did you go to school? That would help us answer your question. I'm pretty old and a lot has changed. There's no place more cruel that high school kids on other high school kids. Perhaps in some areas, like my own, there is diverse culture and we all do pretty well as opposed to twenty-five years ago...well I was in the closet twenty-five years ago--a lot has changed since then.
Get back to us OK?

This is just from my knowledge of my school at the moment. Gay's have come out, if not pranced out of the closet. Lesbians are more open with it, and some are really open, but some are still secluded.
I know of no person who is openly bi-sexual in my school. So, to answer you're question directly, "that" has not changed.

Yes my daughter is in high school & there are several open gay & bi sexual people(especially girls) when I was in school over 25 years ago I don't remember anyone being openly gay, boys or girls. Maybe this generation has the guts that mine never did

I don't know. I haven't been in the closet before. But I know making out with girls is cool no matter who you are. Making out with guys ... a different story.

I've told my friends and if someone asked me I wouldn't lie but for the most part life is just easier letting people assume I'm straight.

There are very few people that admit that they are but if they have the courage to, they will. People may make fun of it, or they may find it sexy if it is a girl. because guys & guys together is just plain wrong.
