Oh, god. I'm really sorry. But it's good that you told somebody, like your teacher. You could try telling your parents- they might help, but if you don't feel comfortable, no pressure.
The internet might not be the best place, though. You could try googling a child abuse/support/rape hotline, because it would might be reassurring to have a real person to talk to
But you're being really strong, getting through this
I hope you feel better.

Tell the teacher that you are unable to read the book because it is causing you emotional harm and ask for a substitute. Some time though, you are going to have to tell your parents what happened, and you probably should soon. You should also talk this over with a school counselor or a counselor outside of school. By holding these emotions in, you are going to be hurting yourself in the future.

I am so sorry to hear your story. I would like to think that your teacher would/should offer an alternative book for you to read. One that is not related to your tragedy. She should also offer to help you in your time of healing. Even though it was three years ago, you really should tell someone. There are so many resources out there that can help you. Best of luck to you and God Bless you for being so strong.

just ignoring the issue will not help you. If you can't even read a book without you remembering what happened to you then you need to definitely talk to someone.
You will get over this, you will never forgive or forget, but you will live and move on.
But the only way to do this is to seek help. Dealing with it is the 1st thing. I would go to a psychologist because he won't issue you any medicine, but he will help you immensely.
Getting help is the best thing.

omg that is horriable just ask your teacher if you can get a diffrent book and if she refuses talk to your councler that is a very touchy subject and nobody should put you through the agony of your rape again. your teacher is a horrible person if you told her that and she still didnt care.

Maybe you could have another talk with the teacher and explain to her how difficult this book is for you to read. Maybe offer to read another book of her choice in it's place.

♥that is so sad!!!!:( i can't say i can relate to your tragedy but a friend of mine went through and i saw her pain and honestly it was so sad and i really sorry for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really think you should tell your teacher that you don't want to the book because it brings back bad memories from a place you don't ever want to go to again!!!!!!!!!!!try to explain it her and if she doesn't want to listen and give you a different book go to the principle or you guidance counselor. they can't force you to do something that brings you pain and sorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥

good luck
♥Amanda♥
