I find it rather interesting that John Kerry said what he did. He is constantly trying imply that Pres. Bush isn't very smart, but if you use Mr. Kerry's measuring stick. John Kerry was the one that ended up in Vietnam, not Pres. Bush. Does that mean that Mr. Kerry was stupid, didn't work hard, and couldn't find any other way to make a living? Pres. Bush seems to be the more intelligent one if Mr. Kerry is to be believed.

Well he would have the media backing him up So Yes, they would believe him (today every morning show had a segment on what Kerry really meant). The Today Show would do a segment on why unicorns are real, why we never see them and why Rush Limbaugh is anti-unicorn, all other outlets except Fox would follow. Liberals would go along with it since the media said it was true.

Yes I guess they wood he specifically said the troops if he meant Bush he would have said Bush.
If he had said go to school or you will end up as the president then THAT would have been directed at Bush.

Using unicorns is a very radical analogy. Think back on what Kerry said. Most people with a properly developed brains could understand where he is coming from.

well... if I believe kerry that he didn't mean it about the troops... what does it cost me? nothing...
if I believed Bush about WMD... many have died over that phrase...
it's all about evaluating the cost of a lie or the cost of a statement if you think it could be a lie...

Why would he speak against the troops when he was one himself. I know I won't change your mind because you have been trained to think your way.
What country was Bush talking about when he claimed Victory? It sure was not the USA because we are still fighting.

What he said.
While making a speech mocking Bush.: "You know, education -- if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well.
"If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
What he meant.See the difference?
Kerry was supposed to say, "I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."

Unlike you, we can think for ourselves. And we know that whatever Kerry said for whatever reason does NOT warrant the same attention that Foley got for being a child predator who is now using tax dollars for "rehab." Didn't know there was rehab for that sort of thing.
