Not so much victims. ... reflections...
Sure it affects who you are and your purpose and your attitude/beliefs/etc. but that's what makes us us saying that you are a "victim" pretty much implys that your whole culture, your environment, family heritage, politics, social status... all are somehow obstacles to overcome... every culture has it's benefits and it's drawbacks... but so does everything in life...

I think that pretty much all cultures deceive their own people in some way and keep their own out in the cold on certain matters, especially to the extent that all cultures and organized religions are more or less on the System.

Yes to a point I agree. The point where I diverge is the same thing I say to every one who will listen. We ourselves have the choice of how we live. I am aware of circumstances that make this difficult or impossible, but I do say where we can make the choice, we need to make it. Who can live our lives for us? Has any one ever lived two lives at once? Of course not!" We the People" is not just a phrase for America, it's a phrase for all humanity, all of we who are the ordinary people of the world and who ultimately hold the fate of humanity in our collective hands. We Must choose how we live, we Must be free to choose our faith, we Must be free to choose our mate, if we cannot be free to choose, what use is there to life????

I do agree with you. Because look at women in these 3rd world countries who are treated terrible, horrible and they are stuck there with no way to get out because of the culture. You know these poor women are not happy, because they have no idea what that word means.

i agree with you as to the effect of culture. i disagree with the use of the term, "victim". we all have the intelligence to make decisions and to respond appropriately to the effects of culture, for the good or for the bad. those who do not make use of their intelligence, i would agree, however, are the victims.
