My wife's mom is in the hospital with what the medicos think is a brain tumour.

Needless to say she's been feeling pretty sad lately. so i slapped a bunch of Weird Al songs on a CD and played it after supper while she was making lunches and I was washing the dishes. We laughed our @asses off.

I"d like to hear what others have done.

That is sooooo sweet. You sound like really great guy!!!

When my spouse is feeling a bit blue, i always suggest he phone his sister, who lives a long way from us.

It works a treat every time, as he often forgets how much he loves to talk to her.

Cooking him his favourite meal, a big juicey steak, will often work wonders too.

Keep up the great work,

Take her some place special that you guys can go and be quite and walk and share sweet conversations about some of her fears (which she is understood to have). Maybe by the water or a lake or a pond with some ducks bring some bread to feed the ducks. You could personally send her mom some flowers and your wife as well with a sweet note. When your mom and her talk again her mom will tell her what a lovely surprise it was.

I have found that when my wife is feeling down i do things like sending her flowers while im at work, e-mailing her sweet letters that confirm how special she is and how much I love her, taking her out for no "special " reason other than to let her enjoy herself. even taking the kids out and letting her enjoy a quiet night at home for her self. theese are just a few things but they work well. and ohh praying for the ones you love always helps too

hi, you give her a full body massage and make a candlelight dinner. Talk to her make sure everything is ok. The most important thing is just be there for her. That is something us (females) will never forget. When everything is better you will get a big thank you. BE BLESSED
