My wife recently had a cervical cancer scare,luckily she is fine..BUT she is cousins with a famous female tv presenter,she would be happy to contact her on your behalf,i cant promise anything as she is a very busy lady,but there is no harm in asking is there. im not going to say who she is on the internet as i dont want people taking advantage,,but send me a e mail and il be glad to help.

It's all about who you know, and who they know. If that's out, you've got a much harder time ahead of you, but it isn't impossible. Start with their agents. If you go onto IMDB, and sign up for the pay service (I think it's $20 per month, but I could be wrong). It's got contact information for most of the celebrities representation. Look for someone who's got movies in pre-production, but hasn't done anything in a while. They need the spotlight. Unfortunately, I think most of the celebrities who show up to these types of charity functions are paid to do so, but not always. Good luck to you, I hope it works!

Sally Field
Susan Surandon
Glenn Close
Cicely Tyson
..but doint go TOO old, like women in their 70's..and I like the other choice of Farrah Fawcet

Go to a big library, they should have a directory (in about 8 volumes!) of actresses (well, people with Equity membership - but that covers a lot of celebs).
It will show a picture of them, and more importantly their Agent's contact details.

1. I would have said that if you had someone specific in mind, check out their web site and look for a contact, someone may or may not get back to you.

Recently Catherine Zeta Jones spoke at a huge convention on Breast Cancer. The doctors who organised it were so surprised at how much she knew that they offered her a job !!
I'm sure you could contact her through your local breast cancer awareness website or maybe through her official website.
