John Robert Powers?

Question

Ive taken acting classes at John Robert Powers however when I mention this to some people i get looks as if theyve heard bad things do you think that i can be taken seriously from this.....there have been credible actors who have graduated from here

Trade schools are a known waist of money, however the acting end of it has more potential than the modeling end of it, which is what people usually buy into.

The fact of the matter is you can get a better education and cheaper one at a 2 year college and the courses are accredited and transferable to many other universities.

John Robert Powers is not a real acting or modeling school. I doubt if any professional actors graduated from JRP. You have to enroll in a real theatre school for training.

HAHAH honey! your lucky that i'm on this site! no offense! haha i USED to go there. and they are a rip off. they scammed me and my momma for 1500 dollars! soo haha.. no don't go there- they make up lies,and use upfront payments-which is a scam, at first me and my momma and daddy didn't understand and we were like yah this is cool..and people used to give me the same looks oh my i learned so much from that situation! Like, becarful in the acting buisness..there will be scammers! Those graduated actors.. they most likely didnt graduate from there. SAG/AFTRA are good agencies to work with. check out www.sag.org ! good luck girl! But dump jrpowers.. oh one expierence i never wanna go back too! Yah they got my acting hopes up high.. i was like number 1 out of 100 in the agency and they told me they wanted to go internatuonal with me, what a scheme! And my agent NEVER called..and that ruiend my acting dreams,but i relized wow who am i kidding? these fools arnt gonna take my dream away from me just cause thier that shallow! so go for it girl! just with a diffrent agency! good luck!
