If you could choose which time period and which part of the world (or nation) you could have been born into (or will be born into), when and where would it be?
Would it be in an Iroquois tribe back 3,000 years ago?
Medieval Europe?
The Renaissance?
Japan 300 years ago?
Or maybe the distant future in some space colony?
etc....
When and where would it be?

I think ancient Japan would be an interesting time to live. I like the ancient culture.

Hmmm. Well, I'd want to be born in the U.S.. We've had a bad track history, but we are dedicated to freedom and individual rights to life, liberty, and property, in a way that few nations completely have. Not that others aren't great, but I'm a home-grown American and I love it.
As for time, I know a lot of people would say "Man, it'd be great to be in ___ time period." but I know better. Life was not that good way back when, and anytime we say it is, we're romanticizing it. I love Michael Chricthon's book "Timeline"- it shows how scary and dangerous the world was in Medieval Europe, etc.. I might choose a cool time like that, but only if I could choose who I was born to- high nobility, etc..
Personally, I'd like to be born somewhat in the future, hopefully when things have gotten a little bit better (yeah, right, huh?). Or the 90's. I loved the 90's, but I was too young to really appreciate them . . .

I have always dreamt of time travel..and that if it were possible the one place i would go is into the time of the greeks and romans...for some reason i have always been fascinated with them and the Ancient Egyptians...i just love their way of life...i would love to be born in greek or roman time or back in Ancient egyptian so i could actually see the shpinx and pyramids being built and actually see the gold jewlry when it was brand new..instead of now all covered with dirt...and so i could meet all the great philosophers and stuff...

good ques.! actually i would like to be born right now at age 100. then you go backwards. you would also have 1 million dollars at birth. it would depend on you as to what kind of life you would live. would you blow it all on bubblegum at age 92, or would you invest most of it? when you become a baby, you know nothing, feel little pain and just sleep and then just disapear, lol...
