The easiest way is to use DVD decrypter and Videora iPod converter. Both of them are free programs. DVD Decrypter rips DVDs on to your computer (use only for ones you've made yourself of course) and then import the file into Videora and hit convert. Look for tutorials online to help more.

Well, I don't know of any codecs, but you could try looking up the manufacturer, going to their website, and geting a driver file. For the software, I don't know of any FREE software, but I do know where you can buy some... Try Best Buy or www.bestbuy.com .

There is a program called Xilisoft, it does multiple things,
copies movies and music from DVD to IPOD, to PSP, to Black
berry, it is awesome...not too expensive just type the name in
google and go to the webpage.....I have the demo version,
it works, but it leaves their logo on the ipod screen.

Check it out

i use dvd decryptor to burn the movies on to my computer, and then videora ipod converter to convert them to ipod format. both are free and work great.
