I left my computer on and then I came back to it and it was off. I tried turning it on, but it will not start and the green light next to the power button just flashes and it doesn't make any kind of noise or beeps. Does anybody know what could be wrong with it and if it can be fixed?

Nope, unpluging it doesn't work, it happened about a month ago and I've been using another one in the meantime, just tried it again and it's still in the same condition.

It could be several things. Without troubleshooting it in person, it's hard to tell. Was there a storm? If so, lightening may have come in on it, even if you have it plugged into a surge protector. The surge protector may be faulty. It could be any one of the components in your computer. From the very expensive processor to a cheap modem card.

Okey, guy, I think your power supply had a short circuit. So you need a new one. Take it to be repair or just take out it and go to buy a new one. or maybe your motherboad will not work anymore. I had the same problem like you now. A power supply cost $ 15 to 20 dollars. If you computer is new probably you it cost $ 30
