His apology was bogus so maybe he just should have kept his mouth shut and not made that so called apology.

Here is his quote below-
"As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop"

Kerry said he regrets that his words "were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended."

Well wether it was a joke or not it was wrong to say. But he didnt even really apologize. Just apologize and say what you said was wrong. Why couldnt he admit what he said was wrong? And he says he apologies to anyone who was offended?! Anyone American should have been offended.
John Kerry is a moron. This is the same guy who said last year while in a foreign country, that our troops are terrorizing women and children in Iraq and he made a scene after vietnam

To those who say that Republicans are nitpicking and so on and so forth, this isnt about dems or republicans. This is more than that. Throw all the politics aside and what he said was just wrong and shameful. IF it were a joke just exactly what was the joke? I dont think it was a joke and he spoke how he feels. He always makes the world know how he served his country yet he puts down the military, and more than once hes done it.
Eldordoman - you are a moron. You dont know enough and I suggest you not pick one thing out of the news and not sit her and say that is what is going on over there. Sure there probably were a few occasions by a select few soldiers that did what you say. But I do watch the news and I do more indepth looking in to it than you do. If all you can pick out is a few negatives than that shows how much you know. Our over all purpose is to stabalize Iraq, fight the central front of the war on terror, and spread democracy, and keep us safe.

The fact that there is horrifying violence daily over there by these extremist groups alone should show us that we need to stick this out. If we walk away, the terrorists and extremists and Al Queda will claim victory. We have a job to do there and it must be done. If we leave early, then its a victory for terrorism and will give them momentam. If people like Kerry and other democrats take the Senate, congress, or the white house....be prepared for very bad things to come our way here in America. That is all I have to say. You can sit there and believe only want you want to believe and back people like Kerry who dont care enough about everyday Americans and our safety, and you can sit there and get your news from the highly liberal media outlets like NBC, CBS, or CNN who will do anything to oppose Bush or Republicans no matter if its right or wrong. Or you can open up your eyes and think about what needs and should be done. What is morally right and wrong.

i come from a military background and proudly served my country in uniform, and after reading what he said, i don't see anything he needs to apologize for...he hasn't lied to get us into an unnecessary war for no better reason than to get re-elected and divert attention from his absolute failure in getting osama and his buddies...he hasn't sent thousands of brave young american men and women to their deaths...he hasn't destroyed the infrastructure of another country, killing tens of thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of innocent civilians...he hasn't condoned, encouraged, or ordered the torture of prisoners, hasn't sent anyone to other countries to be tortured, and hasn't claimed absolute power over all three branches of government, or suspended habeus corpus or due process, or made a nation that used to be a beacon of hope and an example of freedom and justice into an international pariah and laughingstock...our top leaders have failed us miserably, and we deserve better

Seriously . . . you are such a cry baby. Did FOX News slap WMD upside your head or what?

I swear, if I did not know better, I would believe you are a Rush Clone, (if not Rush himself)!

Bush stated that the Dem's do not have a plan. . . .guess what. . .as usual, Bush is wrong again. . .the "PLAN", is to replace those in office, who believed that "Staying the course" is the best they can come up with!!!!

This policy has lead to the death of 2,819 of our service personnel (in Iraq alone), an increase in the amount of terrorist (in Iraq and elsewhere), an impossible national debt, a country in serious division, (stirred by this administrations consistent inflammatory and divisive policies). . . and the erosion of our constitutional rights.

What is happening today, is the result of the Republicans being in power, without restraint. Can't blame the Dem's any longer FOXFAN. . .that just don't fly in the face of facts. . .

WAY TO GO SPIKE. . .!!!!!

He shouldnt have apologized at all. Republicans are always taking the Democrats to task for not having a backbone and being weak. Well here you have a strong Democrat and this is what you do. You can't handle it. If someone is offended by that thats fine, but he doesnt need to apologize, he was right in what he said.He should own what he said, take the hate the White House threw at him and use it against the Republicans like they use everything against the Democrats.

It is not wether he should have apologized he should not have gone on an arrogant rant that made him look like a buffoon and cost him alot of friends in the party. By the way he never really did apologize he brushed it off on imus. He still has not apologized for his outrageous slander in vietnam. Bostoners please do not reelect him.

Bush admit the wrong he has done to America by invading a country, losing a war, and allowing the mastermind of 9-11, Osama bin Laden to remain free and continue to train Taliban terrorists on the Afghanistan, Pakistan border,,, Rove and the Republicans are nitpicking everything,, praying for a couple of tent loads of votes next week

He should have apologized. But his "apology" should have been more sincere. He is a Moran. It is one thing not to agree with the war. But even if they are over there in iraq you should still support them. Then you can disagree with the war. His words were "misinterpreted" no he misinterpreted the words he meant to say "everyone in America smack me in the face!

He's the same guy who threw his medals back at the White House to protest a war he fought in (and now constantly reminds us what a hero he was during that war). He still thinks it's still the 60s, so no I don't think he should have apologized, since he really meant what he said when he made his "joke".

A person who does things the way it is supposed to be done in their marriage life. Etc. Full fill the family need to, be the leader of the house. Etc.

The problem is that his words were NOT "misinterpreted"... we heard exactly what he said.... now whether he really meant it is another question... hopfully not.

Instead of stepping up and apologizing for what he actually said, he is throwing a disclaimer in there that he was misinterpreted...
