In addition to the above couple of posts, investigate what's automatically starting up on your computer. Go to the below link and get the free version of winpatrol. Once installed, look at the startup tab, invistigate each filename through liutilities.com and see if the program is needed. Disable/delete anything not needed. Next, look in the services tab and see what services are set to auto, when you could really get away with manual.

You will be surprised at what you will find!

Dear TBS,

TO make your computer faster defrag your computer.If you have lots of pics and music stored on your computer burn them to cd-r or cd-rw and delete rest from computer.Go to internet options and delete cookies and delete temporary files.I hope this works if it does message me on yahoo messenger i am LittleRomeoBoy4u.I just like to see if my tips worked or not

You can try upgrading it, but the best solution is just to get a new computer

delete temp Internet files, run disk defragger, look in Task Manager to see if there are unnecessary programs running and stop them. look at your hard drive space. add memory if u r running low on ur system.

start pc enter in safe mode . check for spyware .virus.trojans.mailware.adware do that from safe mode . b/c if you scan from windows it will miss any that is on ur pc. enter safe mode.. >> restart pc >keep hitting (F8) key you will come to a safemode screen >enter pc in safe mode use ur software to check pc. have pc ram 1gb .

Whats your OS and amount of Ram. If XP is used try running a 512mb ram minimum up to 1gb ram. If that doesn't help try

go to satrt, my computer, add remove buttons, and remove a lot of things u download that u do not need. i did it and my computer is a lot fast.
