How much does a high rank in mystery dungeon help to recruit pokemon?

If i had the highest rank what percentage will ithelp me in recruiting pokemon? and what is the easiest way to get a high rank???

i've heard that a high rank supposedly helps, but it doesn't say so in the strategy guide, and i don't believe it helps anyway.

really, besides having room in your party and the friend area, the best thing to help is being higher level than it. the greater your level, the greater your chance of recruiting it.
