i keep getting an error message which tells me that the software required to communicate with my iPod is not installed properly and that I have to reinstall iTunes to install the iPod’s software. What do I have to do?

i had a problem similar to that but if u have and ipod nano dont use the software go to www.apple.com aND go to downloads and download itunes 7 it works better than the software if u dont have an nano o well try it anyway i hope i helped

Problems with Apple's iPod software come up ALL THE TIME. Try doing what the program says. If this doesn't help, try resetting your iPod. If all else fails, contact Apple. They are helpful...sometimes.

try reinstalling itunes. if not you may want to try completely resetting your ipod.
