Freemasons are a fraternity "men only" There is also a female version called the Eastern Star. They have three appendent bodies the York Rite, Scottish Rite, and Shriners. Masons raise money for charity providing millions of dollars a day to various charities and it costs about 8 million a day to run a Shriners hospital where a child is treated at no charge. A society of secrets rather than a secret society all our rituals are plastered all over the Internet. But our grips, keys, and tokens are kept as secret as possible in the information age. Another words dont belive all you read on the internet!

A Mason is a man, who belongs to a social group, of other men. He can be anyone, who professes a belief in a Great Creator. Most people would say God, but it could also be Allah, Buddha, Confucius, or any one of a number of names for what we call God. He is someone who supports charities, such as the Shrine Hospitals. These hospitals, admit anyone, regardless of race, creed or color, up to the age of 18. Their is never a bill sent, as the Masons, pay for it all. It is thought of as a secret society, and at one time, that might have been true, but now, any man, may ask to become a Mason, and if found to be a good person, will be accepted in to the society. By now you may have guessed that I am a Mason, and a very proud one too.

in basic terms an previous English element. In them days, freemen who happend to be masons (stone masons) had a fashion of understanding one yet another - partly on commerce grounds and partly for smart corporation. In present day days, freemasons are a club of folk and that i think none of them are masons by skill of profession. it relatively is basically club and not something extra (different than you need to do stupid issues to connect it). And the conventional mason is the guy who lays the brickwork around the corner. he's unfastened too! as he's not anybodies slave or something. In previous days, some trades have been certain by skill of stupid regulations and a unfastened mason replaced into some 9mostly vacationing) guy who got here approximately to be a brick layer who replaced into no longer related to any grasp/or govt. bond. no longer something mystic there as most of the masons have been like that.

the masons originated in Rome. they were the ones who built the arch ways for the water ducts. it allowed for the people to be a more sophisticated society. the arch ways were secretly designed so that each one had 1 certain block that if it were removed then the whole thing would collapse. which made the mason have there own secret society that last till this day. you can research them on line and the history channel has documentary about them also. they were extraordinary sophisticated people of there time.

Masons, aka Freemasons, are a fraternal order. Because they don't tell non-members the real purpose of their group, some people call them a "secret society" and think they're up to sneaky world-domination type stuff... but for Masons it's just a very tame community-service type group.
My friend was in Rainbow Girls and her brother in DeMolay (the younger branches for girls and boys) and her father is a Mason. The few events we attended were a weird cross between Girls Scouts, debutante ball, and church. My friend is likewise intrigued by da-vinci-code-conspiracy-secret-society type things, and while she wouldn't reveal what the secrets of the higher Masons were, she assured us the secrets were "really lame."
