Anything is possible.
There are many documented cases where people have allergic reactions to water being applied to the skin, and the results are horrendous to see.
Although we are 75% water, or H2O, we are not allergic to 'ourselves', in the same way a venomous snake or spider does not poison itself, or a housefly does not digest itself, even though it contains enzymes which reduce carrion to a 'soup' in order that it can suck it up through its mandibles, and can then enjoy a good meal.....until it receives a whack over the head by a well-folded-up daily newspaper.

Generally from what I've read on it, people tend to be allergic to either chemicals or mineral elements found in most water supplies, or allergic to a parasite that may be found in water, rather than to the water itself.

I seriouslly doubt it, since the human body is mostly water. if anyone is 'allergic' to water its a mental illness, not an allergy.

it's possible to have a fear of water just as some people would have a fear of spiders & this is can be very real & traumatic for the person concerned.
It would be difficult to diagnose, one of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder or OCD's.
But as a large percentage of our body is water , an allergy to it as such is not possible in my opinion.

NO! I do think you can be allergic to water, but you may be allergic to what's in it.

Allergic to certain things in the water, maybe... but a large portion of us is made up of H2O so... :-)

I dont think so
