depends on the length of the sides and the shape in question. Could be 6 by 6, in which case the perimeter would be 24, or it could be 8 and 4 and a half, in which case it would be 25. This is assuming it is a rectangle, and there are infinitely many possibilities. Give us the shape and 1 of the sides and it can be found (presuming it is a regular shape).

If the area is 36 square meters then each side is 6 meters so the perimter is 24 meters

I'm not sure but isn't it the 36 m^2 is already it's area or perimeter?Or are they different?
