Taking a class is like eating breakfast. You may not realize that you are hungry but once you start eating (learning) the more you want and need to make it through the day (life). You know "Brain Food."
Taking a class............taking a brain train.

I would compare taking a class to a river. Over time, the erosion of the bank (preconceptions/ignorance) allows the river to change its course in a new direction (new thoughts/ideas).

Hope that helps!
