This is what I do, I buy the nutrition shakes in walmart and drink one in the morning, that way i make sure i am getting at least some vitamins and plus i take my prenatal vitamins every day, i love the cereal bars, any of them will do but i like the crunchy ones, so i snack on them from time to time. I have also bought the jello with fruits in it, i don't usually eat fruits by themselves and in some jello they actually taste pretty good. BUT these are just snacks you need real food during your day, if you don't feel like eating too much get the canned soups, those ones usually have at least some meat and veggies. But there is nothing like a good meal, I love potatoes and i eat them in all ways, except fried, i make mashed potatoes, i eat them salted, and you can just make almost about anything with them, I do not eat too much meat but I really enjoy some chicken fried tacos, mhhhh they are good, you can buy your chicken, cook it, shred it, roll it in a tortilla, fry it and then put some sour cream on top, maybe some salsa and they are delicious! I am 26 weeks pregnant and I just devour almost about anything!!! Good luck and happy snacking!

Congratulations! I'm 5 months along too, and I find myself getting back to the basics. I can't seem to stop eating juicy fruits and veggies. I get excited over grape tomatoes! No dressing, just little baby tomatoes. Anything full of water. I can't make a salad without eating half of the ingredients before I mix them in a bowl. Sometimes I boil a couple of eggs to eat plain too. It sounds crazy, but my taste buds are so acute these days that I can enjoy the taste of plain ingredients without toppings or mixing them up in something. I can't get enough apples either. They are the ultimate portable snack! If you just can't seem to get full and want a snack with low calories, try Quakers Rice Quakes. They do the trick! And might I recommend the caramel corn ones. Yum!

Fruits and vegetables are always a healthy snack. You could also eat crackers, breads, and cheese. As long as you are eating things packed with vitamins, you'll be giving yourself and the baby much needed nutirients.

check the baby food isle at your local store, most of them have healthy mom snacks, and drink that you can use to inprove your intake. The ones that I use are made by the same company that makes ensure, which btw is another great thing to use. Ensure makes bars, and drinks for expecting or lactating women, and they taste is not as bad as I thought it would be, and I ended up liking them. Eggs are another good thing, they have several things that your body already needs, and they can be done in many different ways. Good Luck

You should eat foods like fruits, carbs and fats. this is important because ur baby will be getting some of your diet. try carrots, apples, and since ur 5 months in, try eating more fatty foods. just make sure ur fats are not solid. Get ur fats from fish or olive and conola oil. Also when u r ready to breast feed, use a pump

Congratulations! Remember, right now EVERYTHING you eat, or DON'T eat is feeding your baby. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Yogurt, oatmeal, nuts and whole grain items are the best. Stay away from candy, pastries or greasy foods. I really enjoyed baby carrots with dressing, and granola bars when I was pregnant.

Good luck to you and your baby!

YOGURT!!!
Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grain breads & cereals. Iron rich food.

Don't use pregnancy as a "license to eat:" like so many of us do....you have to lose the weight eventually, and 20 lbs will be gone sooner and easier than 60!!
