You know those small humidifiers that you put in kids' rooms when they are sick? Ours keeps getting this reddish mold (?) or something in it. I've cleaned off what I can get to and run it through with some vinegar mixed in with the water, but I can't get rid of it. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

Clean and wash it with bleachy water. Rinse with hot water. They sell carbon balls for humidifiers at most drug stores

Use purified water out of a bottle, and not tap water.

Remove the lid and let dry out completely between uses.

Mantime, wash w/ detergent and hot water, and maybe a bit of Clorox as well.

Use a chlorine solution. Let soak overnight, or spray with a tile mold remover.

buy a new one, maybe you just can't get rid of this type of mold. Is your health worth $60 for a new one?
