Aw honey... I'm sorry your mom isn't around to help you with this... I know what it's like not having mom around when you need her. But as a mother now myself, I KNOW that she'd want you to tell ur dad so he can buy you some pads of your own at home. If it's too hard to "say" that you need pads you could maybe just write a note and give it to him. Make it say something like: Dad... Can you buy me some pads?
He'll know exactly what you mean and probably won't say anything about it. *hugs* Good luck and congratulations on becoming a young lady!!!

Now!! If your dad has a girl-friend or new wife tell her, since your
embarrassed. It's okay. If not then tell a Aunt. Girl it is okay to tell
your dad, believe me, he know that you'll be starting but he will
never know when if you don't tell him. Be side's he needs to
give you money now every month to buy your pads or tampons.
I understand I would be embarrass too. Once he know then he'll
be expecting to give you money every month, with no hesitation.
When you need money just say it's a girl thing, he'll know
what you mean. I say ladies things

Your dad is expecting this day to come. He's known since you were a small child that eventually it would happen. I would go to him and just say "Dad I need some woman things". He will understand. If you don't want to go directly to him, try and aunt or another female close enough to you for her to go and tell your dad
Good luck

Talk to your Dad. Just tell him straight out that you got your period and he needs to start buying you pads. He is probably waiting for this talk.

Now, he is your dad and he knows you are a young lady. All young ladies get their periods so it's not going to be a big deal. You should tell him as soon as you read this.
Good Luck.

This may be hard to believe but he's probably as nervous as you are about this subject come up. He'll know his little girl is growing up but he won't say anything in fear of embarrassing you or making you uncomfortable, he'll be waiting for you. It sounds like you and your father have had to have a close relationship so it's time to sit down and talk to him. It'll be alright, honest. Good luck sweetie.

just tell your dad that you need some money to go buy some personal products....and if he asks what kind just tell him...I am sure he realizes you are getting to that age and he will be sensitive to your needs...or you can wait until he goes shopping and just ask him if he could get you some pads...he will either do it for you or hand you the money to get your own...or if you go shopping with him just throw them in the basket and he wont ask questions.

Don't worry...you're dad probably know more about periods than you do! I know it can be embarrassing, but he loves you and would want to help you. Go tell him right now.

I'm sure your father was ecxpecting this anyway. Men understand more about periods than you may think. If your not comfortable with telling a man, do you have any aunt's or cousins you can tell?
