I am 15 years of age and have had adhd from the ages 10-present. I have tooken medicines from Ritalin to Adderall XR. I run track and have gym. I wanna still be in shape for track but wanna gain weight for football what can I do??//

You most probably are an ectomorph, so eat more. Spread your meals. Take 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. The key is not to let yourself feel hungry. Eat more protein and carbs, keep the fat low, eliminate sugars. Protein supplements dont work. It's better to get your protein from white meat (chicken minus the skin), fish and half-boiled eggs (with whites). Get your carbs from rice - it's the best. Take vitamins...B..C...multivitamins and multiminerals.
Work out with medium to heavy weights, 8 - 10 reps, 3-4 sets (not including warm-up sets) per exercise. Work your chest with supine and incline presses, back with bentover rows and chin-ups, and legs with heavy squats and forget the rest. You can forget about direct arm and shoulder exercises - your arms and shoulders get enough workout from your chest and back workouts. Try this for at least 12 weeks and you can see encouraging results. Surf the www for good nutrition tips.

i have the same problem as you did.I have a very high metabolism yet im a very active person.I can play full time soccer match then switch to basketball match without being flatted out and go for another 1 hours of workout.My solution is, i eat 6 moderate meals(light meals doent worked with me).Contained high carbs and proteins. i take protein shakes too.
But, i only managed to add only 0.5kg of lean muscles. i weighed myself this morning and im totally shocked with my finding.(-_-")
But i glad too bcoz i managed to get rid of my flabby abs back to solid 6 packs! I never took vitamins.So maybe that contributes too to my problem in not gaining enough weight or maybe because i didnt get enough supply of carbs and proteins.
So, what you should do is drink more water, eat more carbs and proteins plus take your supplements.Dont forget to do your workout and give your body a rest (8 hours of rest).Hope that will helps ya!

he's ingesting technique too many carbs and that is often why he feels hungry a number of activities. Have him initiate ingesting better nutrients with protein in it, that are meant to help him shop finished longer.
