that Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, and Wayne Newton are actually some of the worst singers of all time and there's no excuse for them having made it and gotten rich?

I would agree with you on Wayne Newton and especially Bob Dylan, but Frank Sinatra had one of best baritone voices ever and countless singers try to match his sound.

I have to disagree with you on that. They were great for that time and era. I personally like Frank Sinatra songs. It's the same like movies. At the time they made it, it was a big thing for them. The technology that they had then was what they worked with. Also the kind of music that they listened to was different to what we listen to now. Remember the days that we were so into Jazz. The we had break dancing and rap music. It's a matter of ones taste.

No - Dylan would've made millions anyway from his songwriting - Sinatra was the right guy in the right place at the right time, and his film career would've made him successful regardless of his singing (which isn't as bad as either of the other two) - I can't answer for Wayne Newton. At all. Under any circumstances. Forget it.

Yeah, they're pretty lame. Especially Wayne Newton. Frankie actually could sing once upon a time, but pretty much wore it out with booze and dope, and Bob Dylan just sort of made noise!

They came around when there wasn't too many big singers, so yeah they may not be the best singers of all time, but for that time they were. It's also a matter of taste, music is all subjective. I mean a song is only good because alot of people like it.
