At 2 and 5 the steelers are not a good or even decent team so how can people still think they are a good team?Yes they won the big one last year and they have won it in the past but, they are not going to win it this year-they won w/ bad ref calls last year--- even their fans agree!!!

because having a one bad season doesnt make you a less of a quality team...not like the texans or 49ers...they have consistently shown they are not great quality teams...but they still have fans...now take the titans..they have decent years..but now they are really struggling......your team cant be the all amazing ones year after year..no matter who you are....
go steelers!! steeler faithful for life

You're so full of it! What fans agree that the refs "gave" them the title? Maybe in Seattle! The Steelers have more talent than 90% of the teams in the league & have consistently been one of the best teams in the league since the early '70's. It's too bad they're having an off year, but these things happen. They have had many injuries to several key players, but have still managed to be competitive in every game this year. Super Bowl or last place, the Steelers are my team & nothing will ever change that.

OK, not great! 1 - you have too many D's, dump one and get another RB. read the yahoo Fantasy articles about D's and fantasy football, you can never tell who is going to be good except Chicago for D. Pitt is a decent D, dump Atlanta 2 - don't dump Gonzalez or Miller you need two TE's and need, dump one after you don't need him for a bye week fill in. Miller may pick up this year do to more passing from Pitt. 3. Get some help at RB, someone better has to be out there, anyone. Keep McGahee, but the other two I'd look at dumping. 4. Your WR core is a bit week, yes, I'd keep Plaxico and Holmes and see what I could get for the other two though. oh, yeah, did I say you need to drop a D?! You can always pick one up for a week during a bye week for your starting D. Never draft a D before the 5th round. My 2-cents... Good luck! -R

The Steelers are a quality football team, as with all the other teams in the league. Its hard to win Back to Back Super bowls when some of the team members get traded to other teams perfection is not something anyone has. Sure it can be done but if not so what there is always next year. Hell, the Philadelphia Eagles have been singing that tune since FOREVER

the goal of the media is to hype up their games. "last year's winner" always seems to get booked in many prime time and monday night games. even if the steelers are 2-5, the media have to hype them up as the champs.

notwithstanding their embarassing loss to Oakland, it should also be mentioned, that pittsburgh has had a tough schedule. they destroyed my KC chiefs a few weeks ago, a team that is fairly talented..

Don't count pittsburgh out yet. the season is still young, and they still have some big games left against main rivals, as well as some easier games against weak opponents..

watch out for pittsburgh to sneak into the playoff hunt at 9-7.

Steeler fans do NOT agree that they won because of bad calls. They almost missed the playoffs because of a bad call if you remember!!!

Wow bad calls you mean like the infamous coin toss or do you mean the false start penalty against the falcons to end regulation. everyone gets it good or bad. The reason is that the core team is still there and coaches they have lost the fire. Everyone needs a goal and this team has lost there way due to the crown. We see it all of the time look at the sox's red or white. They still have a chance to regain that fire even with all of the water logged wood floating around. Don't count them out yet. you must be a browns fan.

because they are a quality football team, when they lose it's not by much, and there are obvious opportunities, such as the turnovers, that when corrected like in the k.c. game spell victory for the steelers, if the drama dies down with ben and he plays well then they are a very good team.

Ben Roethlisberger has been losing games for them plain and simple. To the person who said they lost players due to free agency-well they only lost 3.

Start Charlie Batch and the future is brighter. Yes they gave 2 games away (Falcons and Bengals) or they would be 4-3-but still Big Ben is the main reason for the losses.
