Yes Iran means The Land of Aryans and it is true that Iranians are aryans. The word Aryans is an Avestan word ( zoroastrianism) which means nobility .....

In linguistics, the term Aryan currently may be used to refer to the Indo-Iranian language family. To prevent confusion because of its several meanings, the linguistic term is often avoided today. It has been replaced by the unambiguous terms Proto-Indo-European, Proto-Indo-Iranian, Indo-Iranian, Iranian and Indo-Aryan.

Since ancient times, Persians have used the term Aryan as a racial designation in an ethnic sense to describe their lineage and their language, and this tradition has continued into the present day amongst modern Persians (Iranians) (Encyclopedia Iranica, p. 681, Arya). In fact, the name Iran is a cognate of Aryan and means "Land of the Aryans

Not sure if Germans are real aryans but I know that they copied the the word Aryan from Persians

The Aryan race was a term used in the early 20th century by European racial theorists who believed strongly in the division of humanity into biologically distinct races with differing characteristics. Such writers took the view that the Proto-Indo-Europeans constituted a specific race that had expanded across Europe, Iran and India. This meaning was, and still is, common in theories of racial superiority which were embraced by Nazi Germany. This usage tends to merge the Avestan/Sanskrit meaning of "noble" or "elevated" with the idea of distinctive behavioral and ancestral ethnicity marked by language distribution. In this interpretation, the Aryan Race is both the highest representative of mankind and the purest descendent of the Proto-Indo-European population.

These were the real Aryans; Arianism is the theological teaching attributed to Arius (ca. AD 250–336), a Christian presbyter in Alexandria, Egypt, concerning the relationship of God to the Son of God (Jesus of Nazareth). Arius asserted that the Son of God was a subordinate entity to God the Father. Deemed a heretic by the Ecumenical First Council of Nicaea of 325, Arius was later exonerated in 335 at the regional First Synod of Tyre,[1] and then, after his death, pronounced a heretic again at the Ecumenical First Council of Constantinople of 381.[2] The Roman Emperors Constantius II (337–361) and Valens (364–378) were Arians or Semi-Arians. The Arian concept of Christ is that the Son of God did not always exist, but was created by—and is therefore distinct from—God the Father. This belief is grounded in the Gospel of John passage “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)[3] These were early Christians who opposed the concept of a tripersonal God (The belief in a Trinity). The Nazis also spoke of Aryan supremack, which never made sense to me. They were (thankfully) unrelated to Bishop Arius.

Yeah, the Germans appropriated the identity "Aryan". Likewise true Caucasians are from Central Asia - where the Caucasus Mountains are.

I am Iranian and in our history it is obvious that we are Aryans.I think they lived in today's Russia and then they seprated to 3 groups.one came to Iran(pars) the other one in Germany and I think the last in India or somewhere else.but today Iranians race is a mixture of Aryan Indian Arabs Turks Greese and... . So you see why Germans don't look like Iranians.

The word "aryan" was originally an Iranian word used to describe lineage. I believe it was the Nazis who corrupted the word and gave it the new connotation of one with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Germans are probably neither because they are definitely not Iranians, and if Iran means land of Aryans, then they are not that either.
