ipod and ihome?

i have an ipod nano and ihome and i"car thing" anyways when i connect my ipod nano to the car dock or the ihome it only works like maybe 30% of the time...how do i fix that...my sisters ipod always works on both...what do i do?

go to ipod.com and ask profecionals, it must be some isues with your specific Ipod
