When I get my period, I get the worst cramps. It's physically painful to move. Getting up out of bed in the morning is excruciating, and that's saying something cause I'm a morning person who usually loves to get up in the morning and start the new day. Sometimes the pain even makes me sick to my stomach. Is that normal? Does anyone else experience this?

OMG YES!!!!!!! i had the worst periods ever, and i started having my periods when i was 9! i would take advil or some kinda asprin and it just wouldn't work and sometimes i would puke them up! heating pads work for people but they didn't work for me.. i would burn my skin with the heating pad cuz i would need it at a high temperture and i would throw up all the time and have to take two to three days outta school each time i had my period. i tried everything! i had to go to a gynocologist to try to do something about it and their last solution was to make me go on a mild dose of birth control pills. when i got the birth control pills, it helped alot. for some reason birth control pills help.

so if they are bad, i would tell ur parents and talk to a doctor about it.. they might recommend u for a gynocologist to perscribe you some pain killers specifically for period pains

but try thermacare heat wraps (at cvs or any store like that).. they are good for when ur moving alot like if ur on a sport team or something and maybe this painkiller for periods called midol (i heard from people that's good too)

good luck!

Everyone is different with the symptoms they have with thier period. Some get them like you do and some don't get them at all. Try over the counter cramp meds. ie: Midol etc etc...and lay down with a heating pad and watch a good movie! If that does not help, your doctor can always prescribe something for your cramps. Talk to her/him about it.

Heat bag, moderate painkillers, smooth pastime, drink tons of water. If your cramps are preventing you from taking part in daily events you could wish to remember seeing a medical professional to get a few therapy to reduce your affliction. Good success!

Yes, I experienced that for years. Take ibuprofen. It helps... a little. Most of my bad, bad cramps went away when I went on Depo Provera birth control, actually, most of my periods went away. I usually only have one every three months now. And very little cramping.
